The Department's description

A standard cow tail closed head lever pump with plain shaped spirally decorated column and a fluted cap with an acorn finial. Inscribed Riddels Ltd Belfast (plumber) around the head. The pump is in poor condition - handle missing.

Inscribed in the period 1903-1930 when Riddels were in business. Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pump No. 34.
