Exterior description and setting
A former terrace of two-storey two-bay houses with slated roofs, rendered walling and a variety of window openings (original 6/6 to ground floor and 3/6 to first floor). Now demolished and replaced with modern housing.
The First Survey card records:
‘2/sty terrace of 7 houses. Roof slated. L/H hip end. R/H gable end. Chimneys rendered. Wall rendered, lined & part painted, grey – blue. F/FL windows D/H, mostly Georgn panes, a few no astrags/ Gr/FL. has window - doorway(1) – doorway(2) - window – 3 pane shop window, segmental arch head with signboard over – doorway(1) – doorway(3) - top-hung casement - w/iron grille gate to passage – doorway(1) – window – doorway(1) – window - doorway(1) - window - w/iron gate to passage. Windows as above. Doorways(1)sheeted door, 4 pane fanlight. Doorway(2) glazed & panelled door. Doorway(3) glazed & flush door.
Condition poorish. Frontage about 120 ft
Suggest mid C19 with recent changes.
