Exterior description and setting
Three storey rendered shop. Roof asbestos slated, without chimneys. Walls are cement rendered. Ground floor has modern tiled shop front. First floor contains two large security grilled openings. At second floor are four top-hung stained timber windows with modern concrete cills.
Historical information
Shown on 1835 OS map. Occupied in 1835 by Dr Fitzpatrick. Described in 1863 valuation as 3.25 storeys high. The 1969 HMBB slide of the adjoining property, 12 John Mitchel Place (HB 16/30/004) shows no.13 to be a vacant site. The present structure is therefore a modern rebuild.
