The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A group of well maintained vernacular buildings within Slieve Gullion Forest Park; consisting of two single-storey/ two bay dwellings and a number of outbuildings. All with pitched roofs and whitewashed random rubble walls. Both dwellings are aligned roughly E-W; No.26 to the E and No.28 to the W (see HB16/15/045B).
No.26 has a natural slate roof with a brick chimney to each gable. Windbreak porch to right-end of left bay has a monopitched natural slate roof, a t+g sheeted door to front (S) face; left and right cheeks are blank. Each bay has a 1/1 sliding sash window with painted granite cill. Left gable is abutted by a small dog house. Rear elevation and right gable are blank.
Outbuildings to N and S have corrugated metal roofs with t+g sheeted openings – all in good condition and of no interest apart from their
setting and group value.
