Exterior description and setting

Right one of a pair of two-and-a-half-storey/ two bay houses on the N side of the road facing the sea.

Pitched natural slate roof with rendered and painted chimneystack to right gable. Corbelled eaves course supports cast-iron half round gutters, which drain into a secondary gutter running beneath the cill level of the attic windows. Two wall-head dormers with pitched natural slate roof and decorative fretted bargeboards. Left and right cheeks are slate hung.

Walls are rendered and painted; the ground floor is band rusticated. Moulded cill courses to first floor and attic windows.

Left bay has segmental-headed doorway with moulded stucco architraves and decorative keyblock. Entrance is accessed by a path from the road up five external steps. Modern stained timber door with 2x4 glazed timber panel set to its left. Over is a plainly glazed fanlight. Entrance is accessed by a path from the road up five external steps. To its right is a timber 1/1 top-hung casement window with moulded stucco architrave, decorative keystone, foliated knee-brackets and painted cill. Aligned above to first floor are two similar windows (but with plain moulded kneed architraves). Each wall-head dormer contains a segmental-headed 1/1 top-hung casement window.

Left gable is abutted by adjoining building (HB16/12/018E).

Rear elevation was not inspected.

Right gable is blank.

House has a garden to front enclosed by a dwarf wall carrying modern metal railings with gate to left end.
