Exterior description and setting
Much altered two storey/ three bay house up lane on W side of Edentrumly Road.
Pitched concrete tiled roof with boxed eaves carrying plastic rainwater goods. Plain modern bargeboard. Pebble dashed chimneys to each gable. Walls are pebble-dashed with smooth base course.
Front elevation faces N. Central bay has single storey porch with walls and roof as the house. Its cheeks are blank and it has a modern door on front gable. Each ground floor bay and all three first floor bays have a large stained timber modern casement windows with concrete cills.
Left and right gables are blank.
Rear is abutted by a similarly detailed modern return. To rear is farmyard of no interest.
Historical information
A building is shown at this location on 1834 OS 6” map. HMBB first survey card states “A two storey, three bay harled and whitened house with chimneys on either gable. Georgian glazed. Gabled porch with carved bargeboard. Extends east and west in single storey accommodation. Part of a farm complex.”
