The Department's description

Mid-19thC two-storey house now demolished. Replaced by modern house set back from road.

Shown on OS 1:500 town plan of 1860, but not on 1833 6” map, indicating a mid-19th century erection date. Described in c.1862 valuation book at 28ft x 18ft x 2 storeys.

HMBB first survey card states, “Later 19thC. A two storey house with rendered walls lined to simulate masonry and slated roof. D/H (double hung) windows with full g/b (glazing bars) are set in square openings. Appears earlier than is evidenced by OS map. Poor style. 40’ frontage. First appears on OS map of 1903-18.” No first survey slide available.
