Exterior description and setting
Icehouse, set in estate demesne, constructed to serve house (HB16/05/009A). Comprises a low rectangular passage about 2m high aligned NW-SE with entrance at SE end. Squared rubble granite walls and semicircular brick roof which is cement rendered to outside. Brick dressed doorway at SE end (door missing). Chamber covered on the outside with earth, now overgrown.

Shown as ‘Ice house’ on 1834 OS 6” map, ‘Disused’ on 1901 edition. Probably of late 18th early 19th century origin.
