Historical information
Building shown on this site on 1834 OS 6” map. The fact that it is also cited in the 1830s valuation suggests that it was probably two storeys high.
The HMBB survey card states “A two storey, three bay harled and whitened house with slated roof and rendered chimney in other gable. The entrance is in a lean-to porch, Georgian- glazing has been slightly altered on ground floor. Second house of similar character to north somewhat altered.”
The slide to accompany this description shows two bays to be two storey and the right one (just out of shot) to be single storey. Central bay has a flat porch just right of centre, and a 6/4 exposed box sash window to its right (bottom sash altered), with painted cill. Overgrowth obscures the window to left bay. At first floor are three 6/3 sash windows in line with ground floor openings
