The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A terrace of five buildings set with their main axis along the slop, facing south east. It comprises a one-storey dwelling at the north (uphill) end, a small infill building now used as a store, a two-storey dwelling, and two contiguous outhouses abutting its south end. All the roofs are gabled, slated and coped.
The upper house has a central (vertical boarded) entrance door on the south-east facing main façade with a bay either side (each with a modern top-hung window). It appears to be of the direct entry type, with a chimney on its right hand gable.
The infill building has a replacement door into what was probably once a cart house.
The second dwelling is two storeys high with a central chimney. Its door is at the uphill end, with a direct entry to the kitchen and room beyond. It has two modern windows on ground floor and two above, and also a small window on its downhill gable. This house has a small front garden with mature bushes enclosed by a dry stone wall.
The outhouses are single storey and have small modern windows, sheeted modern doors, and corrugated metal and asbestos cement roofs.

Two buildings are shown here on the 1834 OS 6’’ map. The second edition of 1859 shows a third building at the northern end.
