The Department's description

Mr. Bernard McAleenan from BMCA Architects Ltd rang on Tuesday 05 April 2016 to discuss ST. PATRICK'S R C CATHEDRAL CATHEDRAL ROAD ARMAGH.
The Existing organ is in need of repairs - which the church cannot currently afford. In the meantime, the church have an opportunity to purchase a second-hand organ, it is proposed that this organ will sit near the Altar, possibly in one of the Transepts Mr. McAleenan was aware of ecclesiastical exemption, but noted that it may be difficult to locate the organ without obscuring some of the internal architectural details, such as, the stained glass windows.
HED asked Mr. McAleenan to forward proposals if/when the organ was purchased - Mr. McAleenan agreed. O.Finnegan 13.04.16
