The Department's description

Description at November 2006: Pump has beeen removed.

Description at August 1995: Fountain with plain shaped fluted column and a fluted cap with acorn finial. Column inscribed '7D1' and 'Glenfield and Kennedy Ltd/Kilmarnock'. Located at the roadside.

No pump at this location on the 1905 and 1952 25 inch OS maps (PRONI Ref OS 10/2/11/11/1 and 2) but one appears on these maps further along the street. Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pump no. 16.

Pump was removed between 1996 and 2006 as a result of environmental improvements.
