The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
This building was surveyed in the First Survey but not listed. Only a Partial Survey was taken during the Second Survey as the building is not of sufficient interest to warrant a full Second Survey.
Two-storey hipped-roof house, formerly the gardener's residence for the Loughgall Manor demesne, which appears to assumed much of its present form in 1894, when what seems to have been a lower thatched dwelling of possible pre-1830s construction was raised in height and slated. The building has been refurbished in more recent decades.
The building is located within Loughgall Conservation Area.
