The Department's description

Only a partial survey was taken as the building is not of sufficient interest to warrant a full survey.

Three-storey terrace dwelling house of 1864 prominently sited at a street corner. Sources suggest that the building may have originally served in a light industrial / commercial role as it is recorded as containing a ‘winding house and store’ for the first few years of its existence; this may explain the presence of the large elliptical arches within the ground floor brickwork, and the fact that the entrance appears to have been originally positioned on the corner. The property appears to have be converted to purely domestic purposes shortly before 1879.
