The Department's description

This house has been demolished and replaced by a modern house.

Described in the first survey in 1970 as 'A 1 1/2 storey house with lean-to building at rear; the walls are harled and whitened; the roof is slated. The sheeted door, surmounted by a rectangular five-pane fanlight is flanked either side by a double double-hung window with cross glazing bars in sashes. The entrance bay is slightly recessed. Windows and door are surmounted by label mouldings. The chimney is rendered.'

Appears on OS map of 1857 marked as a gate lodge, apparently in connection with the Magheramorne House which preceded the present one. Superseded as a gate lodge when the present Magheramorne House was erected in 1880.
