Exterior description and setting

A group of two-storey houses in a modern style with monopitch concrete roofs, comprising two pairs of semi-detached houses of rustic brick and one detached house to the left which has a later rendered finish and its windows replaced in small-paned hardwood, not to the original pattern. None of the other houses is in original state due to replacement windows or later extensions to the front. The group stands in a rural location set back slightly from the road with lawns in front and easily viewed from the road.

Historical information

Designed in 1943 by T.F.O. Rippingham of the Northern Ireland Office of Works, and built as staff houses for electricity workers at Ballylumford Power Station.
