The Department's description

Exterior description and setting

A fountain with a plain shaped fluted column and fluted cap with an acorn finial. It is inscribed 'Glenfield' at the base of the column. It is located on the seaward side of the Coast Road opposite it's junction with the Carncastle Road.

Not marked on the 1903 or 1930 OS 25 inch maps (PRONI Ref OS 10/1/35/7/1 and 2). Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps n Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pump no 52.
