The Department's description

A modern church on a square plan with its roof in the form of a low hyperbolic parabaloid, linked to an earlier rectangular church hall by a glazed lobby.

Main entrance faces south-west.

Walls of church in rustic brickwork; windows constructed of patterned precast concrete blocks in panels, glazed direct with tinted glass in random leaded patterns; roof supported on diagonally placed corner piers of battered profile in reinforced concrete; clerestorey glazing on raking line, of clear glass in varnished pine frames; white painted barge boards; felt roof covering with central polygonal spirelet in blue painted metal. Glazed link to earlier hall has flat roof and projecting segmental headed porch in concrete.

Hall to west of long rectangular plan with low pitched roof covered with felt; white painted barge boards; rustic brick walls, PVC windows in recesses with concrete cills and cement lower panels.

SETTING: The building stands on an open site at a corner of two roads, facing a housing estate; lawns to three sides with tarmac car park to front; concrete post and wire fencing to boundaries.

Designed by E.J.J. Phillipson, ARIBA, of Larne; opened in 1969.
