Exterior description and setting
A single arched masonry bridge carrying the main road from Ballygalley to Cairncastle over a stream, built of basalt rubble with tooled sandstone voussoirs to the semi-circular arch. The north face is unspoiled and forms part of the boundary to the grounds of Ballygally Castle and is visible from those grounds.
Historical information
The year of construction is not known but the bridge appears on the first Ordnance Survey map of 1833. Probably dating from the early 19th century.

A fairly unspoiled example of a late Georgian engineered bridge which contributes to the setting of the nearby tower house, Ballygally Castle.
