The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A 3 bay wide, 2 storey building with shopfront.
The shopfront occupies the full width of façade. Central, recessed doorway with large single pane shop window on each side each framed with fluted pilasters, over a full length glass name fascia with thin frame, no cornice, but previously there may have been provision for an awning.
At 1st floor 3 no. sliding sash 2 pane windows. Ogee gutter on fascia, natural slated roof, 1 chimneystack. The glazed shop door has decorative scroll with shop name inscribed.
Historical information
Building probably mid 19th cent. The present shopfront c 1960s. Recorded in 1970 as: a two storey two bay, rendered building wiyh plain sashed windows and modern shopfront'
