The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A cow tail closed head lever pump with a plain shaped column with spiral decorations. The cap is fluted and has an acorn finial. The pump has a spout lug. It is inscribed 'D Christie Coleraine' around the head of the column.
Historical information
This pump is now an ornamental feature. It was apparently moved from Culnaman, near Moneydig. Further particulars are in the EHS Report 'WaterPumps in Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fed Hammond, January 1997, Pump no. 20.
