Historical information
33 Victoria Road
This house was built in the townland of Prehen in 1952 to designs by Sean Kenny (1932-1973). Tipperary-born Kenny had studied under Frank Lloyd-Wright, one of the most influential architects of all time, and worked with him on the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Better known as a theatre designer, this is the only house in Ireland that Kenny is known to have worked on. It possibly corresponds with the house that appears as a new entry in the First General Revaluation for Prehen in 1954. This house was initially occupied by Joseph Quinn and later by G. S. Glover.
