Exterior description and setting
A former two-storey three-bay rendered house with widely overhanging hipped slated roof, now extensively altered.
The First Survey card records:
A two-storey, three bay, rendered house with widely overhanging hipped slated roof. The entrance is a semi-circular roofed. Porch is flanked either side by triple plain sashed windows. Single upper windows are plain sashed. Gable to road is two bay. Quoins dress extremities. Building south and west in flat roof construction. Double panelled doors are flanked by sidelights, the semi-circular fanlight is radial-glazed in margins.

Evaluation
A former two-storey three-bay rendered house with widely overhanging hipped slated roof, now extensively altered. Although significant in the locale as the ancestral home of Thomas Gallagher (1840-1927), founder of the tobacco empire, extensive alterations have compromised its architectural and historic interest.
