The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a 'Windmill' on the 1839 and 1925 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a level landscape. This is a conical tower of three floors (ext. diam. of base 7.6m; int. diam. 5.9m) with opposing doorways at E (Wth 1.01m; H 1.58m) and W (Wth 0.96m; H 1.66m). It survives complete to a height of c. 7m with two windows at each floor and the inscribed date 1836 on the S jamb of the W doorway.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
