The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on level land within Fethard-on-Sea with a N-S ravine just to the E. The parish church of Fethard (WX050-011001-) is within a subrectangular graveyard (dims c. 75m NE-SW; c. 35-45m NW-SE) defined by masonry walls that has been extended SW to reach a public road (dim c. 60m NE-SW). Some architectural fragments (WX050-011006-) including the base of a finial cross and a medieval graveslab (WX050-011007-) are in the graveyard. Archaeological monitoring (22E0085) by C. Moriarty of a new bus-shelter just N of the W end of the graveyard produced no related material (excavations.ie 2022:007).
