The National Monuments Service's description
A house is depicted on the Down Survey barony map (1656-8) of Forth barony at Ring (8), which would have included Ringknock townland, in Tacumshin parish. According to the Book of Survey and Distribution (1660s) Nicholas Stafford of Ballmacane castle (WX053-005----) owned 55 acres here in 1640, and over 600 acres in Tacumshin parish (Simington 1953, 304-05). The precise location of this house is not known.
