The National Monuments Service's description
The fSituated on a gently undulating landscape. The cropmarks of a fragmented field system covering c. 40 acres (10 ha) is visible on aerial photographs (ASIAP (102) 8-20; MM (10) 0) and on digital aerial photographs taken in July 2006 (WX048-113_1 to _6). There are some rectangular fields (dims. c. 30m x at least 50m) defined by single ditch features. Within the system are cropmarks of an enclosure (WX048-113004-), a rath (WX048-113006-), and two ring-ditches (WX048-113002-; WX048- 11306-).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
