The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a level, low-lying landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 60m) defined by a single fosse (Wth c. 2-3m) is visible on OSI aerial images from 2000. A gradiometer survey (20R0088) confirmed the presence of a fosse and identified a possible entrance (Wth c. 3m) at E (Leigh 2020). Other linear features were also detected outside the enclosure. Archaeological testing (20E0323) immediately to the NE outside the rath produced no related material and identified only one of the linear features from the gradiometer survey which was related to modern drainage (McCarthy 2020 excavations.ie 2020:117).
