The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a rise in a low-lying landscape with a small NE-SW stream c. 90m to the E. This is a D- shaped area (dims. 51m N-S; 46m E-W) defined by earthen bank (Wth 2.5-5.2m; int. H 0.2- 0.6m; ext. H 2-2.2m) with an outer fosse (Wth 3-5m; ext. D 1.4-2m). There is a slight counterscarp bank on the straight E side that may be the remains of an old field bank. There is a possible entrance at SW. It is planted with coniferous trees.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
