Located on a gently undulating landscape. This is probably an estate or private chapel attached to Tagunnan castle (WX047-003001-), which is c. 50m to the E adjacent to the moated site (WX047-003002-). The chapel is listed by Synnott in 1680s but the name of the dedication is not known (Hore 1862, 67). Parts of the N wall (L 5.35m; H 2.5m) with a small, brick-built light and the E wall (L 4.5m; H 3.5m) with a rectangular chamfered window (Wth 2m; H 0.82m) in an arched embrasure (Wth 1.38m; H 1.06m) survive. The chapel is at the S edge of a rectangular, grass-covered enclosure (dims 70m NE-SW; 55m NW-SE) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 6.5- 8.5m; H c. 0.5m) and shallow outer fosse (Wth 8-9m) on the NE, SE and SW sides, with an irregular scarp at the NW side. This could serve as a churchyard. There is a small annexe (dims 43m NW; c. 20m NE-SW) defined by a fosse attached to the NE side of the churchyard. There is no evidence of burial anywhere apart from the remains of a brick vault within the chapel.
