The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a fairly level landscape and on the E side of a N-S minor road. It is also on the S side of a W-E farm lane that curves N just to the NW of the site. It is marked faintly on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a rectangular structure (dim. c. 10m N-S) where it is described as the site of an R C Chapel in italic lettering, with farm buildings c. 20m to the SE and SW. It may have been a Catholic chapel of the penal period, but there are no visible remains of a structure, enclosure or burial at ground level in an area that is densely overgrown.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
