The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the summit of a broad hill. St. Mary’s parish church of Bannow (WX045-045001-) is within a rectangular graveyard (dims 58.7m E-W; 60.5m N-S) defined by masonry walls (H 1.4-1.6m). In July 2018 human remains were recovered outside the SE corner of the graveyard as a result of unauthorised works. They consist of fragments of the long bones of an adult and a fragment from a leg-bone of a juvenile. (Lynch 20019)
