The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a slight SE-facing slope and c. 100m WSW of Bannow House. The cropmark of part of a circular or oval enclosure (diam. c. 35m E-W) defined by a single fosse feature is visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BDI 84) extending S from the margin of a wood that is recorded on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map but not on the 1839 ed. It is not visible at ground level in pasture at a point where the mapped woodland has been removed.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
