The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a small bivallate enclosure (ext. diam. c. 45m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and located towards the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope. It is not visible at ground level in a root crop, apart from a curve in the field bank N-E-S (C 30m). The rest of the perimeter is visible as a cropmark defined by a fosse feature (diam. c. 35m) S-W-N on aerial photographs (MM (61) 9-12) where an outer, more irregularly-shaped, enclosure (dim. c. 60m NE-SW; c. 60m NW-SE) defined by a slighter fosse feature is also visible. It is also visible on the OSI series of aerial photographs (2000).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
