A house or castle is marked on the Down Survey (1655-8) ) barony and parish maps in NLI (ms 725, microfilm P 7384, N 6380) of Dennestown in Kildavin parish where John Sinnott owned 92 acres in 1640, according to the terrier, or commentary. There is no other record of it and it cannot be precisely located.
