The National Monuments Service's description

Depicted as a subrectangular enclosure (dims c. 55m WNW-ESE; c. 50m NNE-SSW) bisected by a NW-SE field bank on the 1839 Ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is located on a broad plateau. This is a rectangular area (dims. 35m NW-SE; 33m NE-SW) planted with mixed trees and defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.8-1.2m). There is no visible fosse or entrance. It only survives NE of the field bank and the SW portion of the monument is visible as a slight rise in a harvested cereal crop. It may be an altered ringfort.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
