The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a level landscape. This is a raised circular area (diam. c. 30m) overgrown with mixed wood species. It is defined by traces of an earthen bank at SE and NW (Wth 5m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.2 1.8m) and scarps (H 0.5m at SW to 1.6m at NE) elsewhere, with an outer flat bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5-8m; Wth of base 2-3m; ext. D 0.8-2m) and an external field bank (ext. H 0.8m). There is no visible entrance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
