The National Monuments Service's description

Located in the flat valley bottom of the N-S Owenduff River, with the stream c. 60m to the W. This is the parish church of Inch, Barony of Shelmaliere West, within an overgrown subrectangular enclosure (dims c. 35m N-S; c. 35m E-W) defined by stone-clad earthen banks but with no evidence of burial. Within the enclosure the widely spread walls (Wth c. 3m; max. H 1m) are clay-bonded and form a rectangular building oriented E-W (dims. 10.5m E-W; 4.3m N-S). There is an entrance with a plain granite jamb towards the W end of the S wall. This is regarded as the possible site of the early monastery of Inisdoimile founded by St Bairrfhinn (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 386), but there is no physical evidence of this. The site of Lady's Well is c. 250m to the N. (Murphy c. 1994, 38)
