The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a plateau. This is a subcircular scrub-covered area (dims 46m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.2-0.8m; ext. H 0.8m at E to 1.4m at S) with a flat- bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5m at N to 9m at S; Wth of base 1.5m at W to 5m at S). There is an outer bank (Wth 3-4m; ext. H 1.2-1.5m), with a slight berm (max. Wth 4m) between it and the inner fosse S-W-N (max. ext. dims 63m N-S; 63m E-W). The outer bank is incorporated into a road bank NW-E-SE. There is no identifiable entrance or outer fosse. The church (WX039-047002-) is in the interior.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
