The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, although a lime-kiln is indicated on the 1839 ed. of the map. It is situated on a level landscape with a slight S-facing slope. This is an oval scrub-covered mound (dims. 13m N-S; 7m E-W; H 1m) with a trench (Wth c. 5m; D c. 0.5m) on the E side. It may be the remains of a lime-kiln.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
