Included in the SMR (1987) in the mistaken belief that the castle of Alderton or Ballyfarnoge (WX039-049----) might have been located at Alderton House, which is a later 19th century farmhouse on the site of an earlier house according to the below website accessed on 31 January, 2013. (http://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=WX&regno=15703904)
