The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40-45m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a wooded enclosure on the 1941 ed. It is located towards the top of a N-facing slope on the spine of the N end of the NE-SW Forth Mountain ridge. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 36m N-S; c. 34m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with stone cladding (Wth 2m; max. int. H 0.3-1m; max. ext. H 1.5m at N). There is no visible fosse or entrance. Following a site inspection in June 2016 by the National Monuments Service, it was confirmed that this site has been seriously damaged but it is likely that sub surface archaeology survives at this location. Archaeological testing (19E0688) c. 40m to the W produced no related material (Taylor 2019).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
