The National Monuments Service's description

Archaeological excavation (02E0048) on the street-front of the E side of North Main St. at Nos 62-68 demonstrated that by the 12th century land reclamation had extended to this side of the street, and the property boundaries of four plots with associated hearths were recorded. The hearths were devoted to industrial activity and the fronts of these plots are now under the W side of the street, although the area remained prone to flooding. By the 13th century reclamation had progressed to such an extent that a large stone-built house or warehouse was constructed on the foreshore. One clay-bonded wall (Wth 0.9m; L 8.4m plus) was recorded from this house that was finally demolished in the 17th century. (Sheehan 2002; 2004)
