The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a graveyard on the 1839 and 1925 eds of the OS 6 inch maps, and situated on the SE-facing slope of a broad hill. This is a rectangular area (int. dims. 34m NW-SE; 31m NE-SW) defined by earthen banks. There is a mortuary enclosure (int. dims 6.6m E-W; 3.6m N-S) defined by masonry walls (H 1.2-1.4m) at the centre but outside this feature at SW are two dressed granite stones from a medieval doorway. One has a chamfer and a rebate for a doorway and the other is from a pointed arch and has a chamfer. The graveyard is within an ecclesiastical enclosure (diam. c. 80m) which is visible as a cropmark on digital aerial photographs (WX035-077_1 to 8) taken in 2006. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) can be seen outside the ecclesiastical enclosure at W on some of the aerial photographs (WX035-077_7, _8) taken in 2006.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
