The National Monuments Service's description

Lewis (1837, vol. 1, 264) describes an underground chamber, approached by a passage of upright flags and capable of holding 20 to 25 people, under a ringfort, probably (WX035-002----), near Ballynabola.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
