The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as an oval embanked enclosure (ext. dims. c. 50m N-S; c. 35m E-W) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6 inch map, and situated towards the top of the SW-facing slope of a NE-SW ridge. It is not visible at ground level but a faint circular cropmark (diam. c. 35m) is visible on aerial photographs (MM (50) 4-6; ASIAP, WX 106, 22-6), and digital aerial photographs (WX035-044_1 to _4) taken in 2006.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
