The National Monuments Service's description
Fragments of two encrusted urns and cremated bones were found during 1854 in a sand-pit at Dunganstown (Anon. 1854-5, 204), but the exact find-spot of the discovery is not known. (Kavanagh 1973, 567; Waddell 1990, 155)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
