The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the lower NW-facing foothills of Slievecoiltia, at the point where the steep slope meets a gentler incline. This is an oval overgrown area (dims. c. 40m NW-SE; c. 35m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank best preserved E-S-W (at S: Wth 6m; int. H 1.6m; ext. H 2m), on the uphill side. There is an external fosse, best preserved E-S-W (at S: Wth of top 6.5m; Wth of base 2m; ext. D 1.4m). The bank is little more than a scarp W-N-E (at N: Wth 4m; int. H 0.5m; ext. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
