The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the bottom of a steep SW-facing slope at the junction with a more gentle incline and at the headwaters of a small SE-NW stream. It is also just below a slight col which is c. 200m to the SE between Ballylane Hill c. 650m to the NNE and a smaller hill c. 350m to the SW. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 35.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank and hedge which is best presernved at N (Wth 7m; int. H 1.8m; ext. H 1.6m), declining towards the S (Wth 5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1m). There is no visible fosse but the perimeter is circumvented by a field bank WNW-ENE with a laneway (Wth 5.5m) between. The entrance (Wth 2.7m) is at ESE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
