The National Monuments Service's description
Situated just off the crest of a N-facing slope with a slight spur extending N just to the E. This is a grass and scrub-covered circular area (diam. 34m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (at S: Wth of base 6.6m; Wth of top 5.3m; int. H 1.6m; ext. H 2.2m) growing trees, with an external flat bottomed fosse (at S: Wth of top 5.7m; D 1.3m) SSE NW and traces of the fosse elsewhere. There is an entrance gap and causeway (Wth 2.8m) with an ornamental iron gate at SW. The NE quadrant of the interior was reused as a Quaker burial ground (WX032-024002-) when a drainage channel (Wth 1m; D 0.5-1m) inside the bank and a central N-S channel (Wth of top 3m; Wth of base 1.6m; D 0.5m) were probably added.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
